Fall returns for 2 days but it seems to be a short stay as the Aug'Tober like heat returns. Summer just can't seem to let go this month with an average temperatures of 72.6 degrees through the first 5 days of the month. This temperature is 11.6 degrees above where we should be this time of year and is courtesy of the first 4 days of the month where temperatures topped out in the mid to upper 80s.

The Summer set up holds on this week ahead as high temperatures once again climb into the low to mid 80s. The warmth will carry us through Wednesday before a big pattern shift by the end of the workweek. Autumn will come back with a vengeance as a powerful cold front combined with an eventual tropical system rolls our way.

This tropical system and front have a chance to move us into the top 5 when it comes to wettest years ever in Baltimore. Forecast rain potential from Thursday through Saturday next week look to be right around 2-4" which is not good since it's already been a terribly wet year.

Besides the rain, temperatures will take a huge nose dive upwards of 20-30 degrees with highs this time next week struggling to make 65 degrees. The cooler air at this point looks to stick around with a minor moderation in temps over the next 2 weeks ahead. Precipitation on the other hand stays at or above average as our unbelievably wet year continues on.

Come on there has to be a dry spell in there somewhere right? Stay tuned!!
