Hurricane Franklin has formed off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula just before it's expected to make landfall later tonight into Thursday morning. The storm is packing hurricane force winds of 75 mph making it a category 1 storm.
Franklin will continue to cause problems for the Bay of Campeche, bringing 4" - 8" of rain, mudslides and flash flooding. Now that we're entering peak hurricane season soon, more activity is expected to develop in the coming weeks.
