Yesterday day was Juneteenth which marks the day that slavery ended in America. Today is the Summer Solstice and Sunday is Father's Day, so there is a lot to celebrate this weekend!
Summer will arrive at 5:43 p.m. as the earth's axis is tilted towards the sun at a 23.5 degree angle and it's the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere.
It will feel like summer with seasonal highs in the low to mid 80s. Plus, it will be humid with dewpoints in the mid to upper 60s making it feel more like the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
The next celebration this weekend in Father's Day. If you have any outdoor activities planned for dad, you may want to do them early on in the day because a few scattered showers and storms are possible by the afternoon/evening. It won't be washout, so there is no need to cancel plans just keep your eye to the sky.
Have a wonderful weekend!
