Summer arrived last Friday at 11:54 a.m. but ironically and to some, thankfully, it felt more like spring right into the weekend.
This week is a different story as Mother Nature has laid down the gauntlet with the heat and humidity out in full force....the dog days of summer are here!
A heat wave kicked off yesterday (Monday) with a high of 91 degrees. The heat wave is forecasted to last into the beginning of next weekend which will be 6 days of high heat and humidity with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s.
Thursday through Saturday, the feel like temperatures will hover around 100 degrees. Remember the heat safety tips for the coming days ahead. Stay hydrated, protect your pets, and look before you lock the car as temperatures can be twice as hot in an enclosed area. Storms return to the forecast for the weekend with somewhat cooler temperatures early next week.
Stay tuned!
