Winter WX Advisory is up for Carroll County Monday 6AM-3PM with 1-3" of snow. The mountains could see 2-5" of snow. Visibility will be reduced for all in the morning as well.
A few flurries are possible for the northern half of the state around lunch but most of us will be seeing a soaking rain with near 1" rain totals.
The big event... Wednesday (expect Winter Weather Warnings). Start getting your salt and shovels ready. If the storm heads to the Atlantic we will see more snow (over 6" at BWI and near 15" in NW MD). If the storm heads up the Chesapeake Bay, we will see less snow (3" at BWI and 1.5" in Annapolis). Wind will also be high sustained 15-20 mph with gusts closer to 30 mph. The storm now looks to start early Wednesday morning, pick up intensity mid-day, and move out Thursday morning.
