Good weather will make or break the Great American Eclipse this upcoming Monday. The weather patterns which produce clouds and rain will be lingering around the Midwest and near the Plains.
Maryland's weather is looking pretty good for the eclipse with partly cloudy skies. Nearly perfect for safely viewing the eclipse with the proper eye protection. High pressure will be drifting east during the day on Monday, which will move completely off the coast by Tuesday. Be sure sure to follow the 7-Day forecast over the weekend in case our weather patterns shift. A 50 mile shift east of Monday's high pressure could bring more clouds and even a chance of rain.
