Temperatures were just shy or setting a record over the weekend and the heat stays for the first half of the work week. Monday will be 15 degrees warmer than normal, that puts us in the mid 70s. High pressure squashes most clouds from forming. By Tuesday, high pressure is more in the Atlantic driving our winds out of the south. That means more moisture and more clouds. Temps should stay in the 70s though, but fog will be around in the morning.
Everything changes Wednesday. The moisture is so high it feels like a muggy summer night, just during the day. The moisture leads to morning fog and drizzle. Temp will still climb to the low 70s as a cold front approaches. The front arrives in the evening sparking thunderstorms and heavy rainfall at night. The showers will continue for most of Thursday. Rainfall totals could be 2-4".
The chance of showers continue into the weekend with temps in the 60s.
