Get ready for some substantial rain. Monday morning is the best time to run your errands as the muggy air will turn into thunderstorms by the afternoon. Some storms may turn severe. The main threat is wind. Rain totals will vary between .10 and .50" with the heaviest rain to the west.
By Monday at 11PM we are under a Flash Flood Watch and Tropical Storm Watch as Isaias gets closer to Maryland. Gusts will be near 30 mph west of the bay and 50 mph east of the bay. Storm surge will be 1-3' and a Coastal Flood watch is up as well. Expect 3-6" of rain, the heaviest will be found in Southern Maryland and Eastern Maryland.
Computer models have the storm making landfall on the South Carolina/North Carolina border late Monday night. It is forecast to move through Maryland Tuesday with the storm center (highest winds) between Easton and Ocean City. Work from home if you can.
