Rain, rain go away....

Plenty of rain led to flash flooding yesterday around the area. There were reports of flooding in Ellicott City, Catonsville, Arbutus and Baltimore City. BWI received 3.51" of rainfall. Thankfully, we didn't break the record of 6.30"set back in 2014.

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for the entire viewing area until 12 a.m. Friday. Therefore, the potential for flooding is a major concern for today too.

More showers and storms are on tap and some of the storms will drop heavy rain.We could get up to 1 "more in the rain department. We are basically pushing repeat on the "weather" radio.

This rain is coming on the heels of Isaias , which put us in a surplus for the month of August. As of today, we are 5.95" above normal for the month which is courtesy of Isaias and the storms from yesterday.

The rainfall total will continue to rise because of the rain today. Plus, there is more rain in the forecast.

Stay tuned!
