In wake of a warm front, temperatures will soar for the midweek across Central Maryland.

In fact, we have the opportunity to get very close to or even break some records.

We have an outside chance of breaking the record on Tuesday. The forecast is for a high temperature around 73 degrees with partly sunny skies and a strong southerly breeze. The record high temperature in Baltimore on Tuesday currently stands at 76 degrees from 1930.

Wednesday's record high looks to be much more attainable, currently the record high temperature is 74 degrees from 1930. The forecasted temperature is 76 with some sunshine.

Cooler air does make a return for the end of the week as rain moves back into the picture. Highs Thursday and Friday will be back in the 50s.
