It was so hot this month... you might have wished the pool did not close on Labor Day and instead stayed open all month long. The average high was almost 86 degrees! The normal is about 78 degrees... we were almost 6 degrees warmer than normal! In the weather world though we average the high and low, so technically the average for the month is 74.0 in 2019. That is the 5th hottest September on record!! The last time we were at least this warm was in 1931 (at 76.0). That's almost 100 years ago.

While we are talking about heat... there is more coming our way. Record heat is arrives Tuesday, October 2. The current record is 89, and the forecast is 93. Since we are talking numbers, the highest temperature in Baltimore ever in October is 97 degrees which was in 1941. So, while it is hot for 2019, it has been even hotter.
