A potent cold front will pass through our area today, bringing the threat for severe weather.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed Central Maryland in a slight risk for severe storms. Damaging winds will be the primary concern. With the ground so saturated, strong winds could easily bring down trees.
Flash flooding concerns also continue. It won't take much additional rainfall to see more flooding problems across our area.
Look for severe storms to begin to pop this afternoon and continue through this evening.
