Another round of rain is unfortunately expected this Friday. The rain will likely arrive during the early morning rush and continue right on through midday. Some of the rain will be heavy at times with even a rumble of thunder or two come Friday afternoon. Rainfall amounts look to be right around 0.5" to 1.5" in most locations. Lesser amounts are expected the further west you go along I-70 out to I-81 with higher amounts down toward the Maryland beaches.
Severe weather is not expected at this time nor a widespread threat of flooding. Flooding cannot be ruled out though in poor drainage areas since we are likely to pick up these high amounts of rain within a 3-4 hour time frame. Either way have the umbrellas ready to go and be prepared to allow extra time in those commutes.
A few more showers are likely Saturday as a weak cold front passes on through. This front will bring on a chance of frost late Saturday into Sunday morning then again Monday morning. After that it's full steam ahead into May with temperatures climbing back into the 70s and 80s.
