Temperatures on Sunday were 10 degrees below normal! I know, it felt more like Fall and you were ready for the Pumpkin Spice latte. Don't push away the tank tops just yet though. You see, we have a cold front approaching. However, this one doesn't have much of a chill. Winds will be switching out of the SW grabbing warmer air ahead of the boundary. Thus, temps climb back to the low 80s. It's in the afternoon and evening the front gets closer, sparking a few showers. The rain will only be a few hundredths of an inch though. Thank goodness since we are already 8" above normal for the month!
Air behind the front is much drier, so Tuesday is the best day for outdoor activities. The front stalls near Southern Maryland leading to isolated showers for the rest of the week. The rain chance goes up again though as we head to the weekend and early next week. According to the Climate Prediction Center, we could see a 30% chance of above average rain chance. So, what do you think is better to use, a raincoat or umbrella?
