Remember how nice it is to sleep to the pitter patter of rain? It makes you just want to grab the covers and snuggle into bed. Guess what?? The sound of rain is coming to your rooftop tonight, and especially Wednesday night.
Today there are more clouds than sun. Temperatures will be about 5 degrees warmer than normal. That takes us to the low 90s, plus the humidity makes it feel like the mid 90s. Scattered thunderstorms will brew around dinner time. A cold front arrives Wednesday bringing more significant rain. Almost 1" of rain could fall from 2PM to 3AM Thursday morning. The front also brings the possibility of severe storms. The main threat would be wind gusts near 60 mph. Wednesday's rain event will be more widespread than what is expected today, Tuesday. So, grab a hold of those blankets and prepare for a good night sleep to the sound of raindrops for the next two days.
