After a nice stretch of weather, things will take an unsettled turn this weekend. We'll be watching an area of low pressure move along the coast. This will spread rounds of rain across the area this weekend. Some of the rain will be heavy at times, and could cause flash flooding.
The rain will be a welcomed site, as much of Maryland is in deficit. The latest Drought Monitor shows 40% of the state as 'abnormally dry'.
However, the rain this weekend could be too much of a good thing. 1-3" of rain is possible this, with locally higher amounts possible. And that's not all, more rain is expected next week. Get ready for a soggy ride!
