High pressure will return for today, bringing back some sunshine and and milder air temperatures, in the low to mid-40s. There will be a breeze out of the north which will keep wind chill values in the 30s throughout the day. Temperatures will drop down into the 20s tonight BUT wind chill values will range in the teens... you will be saying "BRRR" when heading to work early Thursday.
An area of low pressure will graze the Carolinas tonight, generating some snow and rain across the Mid-Atlantic region overnight into early Thursday morning. Lucky for us, the bulk of the heavier precipitation looks to remain to the south of the metro, around Washington DC and across central Virginia and the Carolinas.
Some snow may edge up into southern Maryland and around Anne Arundel county but snow chances for much of the viewing area will be low.
#Staytuned as we have a greater chance for snow/wintry precipitation heading into early next week!
