Maryland has experienced a mild Fall thus far but big changes are just around the corner. Temperatures will struggle to reach the 40s by the weekend after a strong cold front moves in Tuesday night. Therefore, If you've packed away all the Winter gear due to the mild weather - now's the time to take it back out.
Is There a Chance of Snow?
The rumors have been circulating on social media and simply put, yes...there's a chance of snow this week. Models have not provided snow lovers with what they like to see, which is consistency. Several of them have suggested that we'll see some snow around the weekend.
One thing we can say for sure is that the overall "set-up" does support snowfall for Maryland, since cold air will be available. All we need is a storm and we'll have one churning off the coast later this week.
How Cold Are We Talking?
The main story here is the cold returning. Temps will drop by 25° heading into the weekend and beyond. Once you factor in the winds the "feels like temps" will be in the teens by Sunday.
Does the Cold Stick Around This Time?
Looks like it will. Several long range ensembles -Hold the Cold- for much of the month. I guess December is turning back into December.
