Get your errands done early Monday as snow is forecast to arrive by the evening commute. A storm system to our west is carrying in moisture but there is a warm layer right above the surface so as snow falls, it will eventually melt and appear as sleet. Once it hits the surface overnight, freezing rain is possible.
By 5PM we start seeing snow. Around 9PM it will turn to sleet in Baltimore. The precipitation keeps falling overnight. Fog will form as well dropping visibility 1-3 miles. The sleet will turn to rain by Tuesday at 10AM and then we should just see scattered showers through 2PM.
Another winter weather maker is in the forecast Wednesday night. It is Winter after all!
