TOWSON, Md. — Take a look at this heartwarming moment.
The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson has discharged one of their first recovered COVID-19 positive patients.
The patient was discharged to a round of applause from hospital staff as they were wheeled thru the Carmen F. and Victoria A, Deyesu Rotunda.
“This was an incredibly emotional and moving tribute and a testament to the critical lifesaving work that our staff are engaged with around the clock treating COVID-19 patients,” said Thomas B. Smyth, MD, President and CEO of UMSJMC, who was involved in the send-off. “While we took a few minutes to recognize this moment, we also collectively remember those who have been lost during this global pandemic.”
