BALTIMORE — While you're filing your taxes, you can also sign up for free or low-cost health insurance plans.

Hall of Fame Baltimore Oriole Eddie Murray and state leaders kicked off the "Maryland Easy Enrollment Health Insurance Program" on Monday.

The general assembly created the program last year. Murray says there's no excuse not to take advantage of this opportunity.

"I think it's unbelievable thing to get people and come out and get some healthcare because now we're going to have to give them another reason not to go out and get check out," said Murray.

On the new state income tax forms, you will be asked if you have insurance.

If you don't, then the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange will get in touch with you about your health insurance options.

Tens of thousands of Marylander's are eligible.
